Willamette Falls Fish Counts

I have been waiting for the past month for the updated counts at Willameete Falls for winter steelhead. The last update was in early November. I know that the counters get very busy and they can't always keep up. Does anyone know of any other sources? Maybe a phone number to speak with a live person who knows what is going on?

Jason, good question... i would like to know the answer myself. Notice that there is "Fall" chinook?? I'm thinking there is a conspiracy thing go'n on...probably a secret run going over the falls nobody knows about but ODFW, same for the Columbia...they suddenly stop showing numbers too. I bet there are fish going over. But we'll never know unless we try right?? Good question...call them i guess.

The Fall Chinook run is just a remant run of hatchery Tules planted in the 70's.

I would sure love to see some Up River Brights planted in the North and South Santiam. Wouldn't that be a hoot in my backyard?.... :grin: :grin:
