Default Hunting and fishing tattoos

I know there is some hardcore guys out there with hunting or fishing tattoos. Let's see em. Here is 2 of mine. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338702315.994522.jpgthis one is for my best friend and hunting partner who died in a car wreck. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338702526.300466.jpg

I was gonna get one smaller but the artist started drawing it right on my arm and we both decided it needed to be god size so it goes from my elbow to about 3 inches from my hand overall 8 1/2" longX4" wide

Done by a local artist here in Salem. Means the most to me than any other tattoo I have simply because fishing is that important to me.

That's a bummer man. My guy use to call me when he had cancellations. It was like Christmas morning getting an appointment you didn't plan on.

yep i am on the top of the list i am told plus i only have to wait a week, although this new appointment is only a 5 hour one so now i will have to go back to get it finished instead of all in one shot.

Well all my appointments were only 2 hours. My guy doesn't like to work on anyone longer than that. Took a total of 19hours. So a 5 hour sit sounds like a long time to me. Let alone 7

I'm curious. What does a 19 hour tattoo cost?

I'm NOT being judgemental!!! This is America, we spend our money on what we want.

Just curious.

not sure about a 19 hour tat but my artists is charging me $80 an hour and that is as low as he will go. so my 7 hour tat will be $560.00

Well my guy charged $100 an hour. He charges $150 now. Plus tip. I traded some work out and had some done at the Portland Tattoo convention at a discounted rate. It took over a year to complete so it's not like as was shelling out $1900 at once.

thats not a bad rate, i think the only reason randy gives me the price he does is because i have spent a lot there. he is normally around $125 per hour

I appreciate the tattoo passion.

I believe our scars and the stories behind them have more to offer.

That said... Any bird hunter tattoos?

This thread isn't just for GUYS, right?

This is my fishing tattoo-it's supposed to be a bass. Too many people think it's a koi. I need to add a lure. It's on my back/shoulder. I do love me some fishin'!!

silhouette but not done yet

Salty dog tats

my grandma was a teacher but spent the summer on my grandpa's tuna troller cruising down to Monterey and San Louis Obispo and back pelicans were her thing so I got this in memory of her

Pete: that mbogo tattoo is pretty dang cool! I was over there in '10 for plains game next time I go it'll be for cape

Wreckless: I've had several different artists do my work some charge as much $150/hr some do work for dirt cheap because they are true artists and aren't in it for the money. The guy who did my osprey/trout, parrot and pelican charges $100/hr. He's been featured in magazines, worked on a few pro athletes and celebrities and is always booked ATLEAST a month out. but after the first couple visits, couple 1/5ths of patron for tips, refering a few new customers to him and giving him artisic freedom I was able to start cashin in my frequent flier miles. Last time I was in there he worked on me for 5hrs and only charged me $40. The osprey was 4 sittings at 4-5hrs at a time and it ran me about $600 not including tips

sorry but dont get the whole tat thing, as you get old they and you just get uglier. To each his own, kind of wish I had got into the tattoo business. Nothing worse imho than a pretty girl with ink all over her

Title of the thread is pretty clear and nobody MADE you read it. If you don't like it or support it save your opinions for yourself there's plenty of us out there who do have an appreciation for ink.

This link has many very very cool outdoor tats, way to many for me to post up. Might give someone some ideas.

When I was younger I almost pulled the trigger on a few tats. Now that I am older I am really glad I didnt. I do however enjoy it as a form of art, its just not for me.

Enjoy http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...w=1008&bih=543
