Lucky Hat...etc.
I think that most of us are superstitious in one way or another. Since the rivers are blown out and another week of work lies ahead, I was of course thinking of fishing. I know that I have my Lucky Hat that I wear while fishing. I have my lucky winter hat. (Pic) and my lucky summer ball cap. What about the rest of you. What do you take with you or wear to enhance your chances?
Submarine Dolphin Pin
Steelhead Pin.

Re: Lucky Hat...etc.
Nothing but "Tillamook Anglers", year around. I get them when making my annual donation to the group.
I just love it when a bunch of fishermen run their own hatchery. That's the way it should work!

Re: Lucky Hat...etc.
I have heard good things about a hat... what does it say, I forget... Oh yeah! www.ifish.net!
However, I tend to favor my Filson. It gets me into the fish.
By the way, could you please give me that trout pin? I collect them, and I love that one!

Re: Lucky Hat...etc.
I know where you can get the pin. The store is located in Gearhart. It is in the little mall on HWY 101 at the Gearhart Light. I can't remember the name of the place. I will see if I can get you the information. The pin has sentimental value to me so I'm gonna keep it! It also catches fish!
Merry Christmas Jen.
PS. We're gonna have to go to the ole fishing shack this winter on the LC and see if we can stir up something. My favorite river.

Re: Lucky Hat...etc.
Tilla's not kidding about that hat. The best part is running down the river next to him, the hat makes him look like a lab hangin' out the window of a moving vehicle with the ears flappin' in the wind!

Re: Lucky Hat...etc.
just lost my winter fav. It was pulled of my head on a friday float down the Alsea. I was letting a friend get some time in on the oars and we did the boat brushing down the bank thing. I had to make a choice of going for my hat or the rods that were going out the back of the boat. I made one swipe at my hat then concentrated on making a few swipes at the rods, I missed the hat and both rods. However the rods were both lodged in tree branch's and so we were able to anchor and walk river bank to locate them. We also located a great Chantral (sp) location. So lost hat was not a huge loss considering or so I've been telling myself for 3 days.

Re: Lucky Hat...etc.
I ALWAYS have on my good ole' lucky gray sweatshirt everytime I fish. I'm a believer in it's mystical fish catching powers  I also have a lucky hat that I wear only to fish because if I wore it out in public people would think I was homeless It's got the mojo on it too!

Re: Lucky Hat...etc.
How about lucky underwear. Never wash them. They should be good and ripe to cover you scent.
