Hey folks,
I fished with Rip'N'Lips today at Kelly Point. I had a great time spingin’ yarns, shooting the breeze and, oh yeah, catching some fish. He is a fun host and a better fisherman then I.
(Though I have to admit that's not all that hard)
We fished from about 9:30 till 2:30 at KP and caught bunch of shakers ranging from a high length of about 40" down to embarrassing. The weather wasn’t very good with a bit too much wind, a little rain and a wee bit of a chill at times. His Duckworth made the trip very comfortable in spite of the weather.
Sorry RNL, I have to tell on you now.
First fish-on was only fifteen to twenty mins into the day and RNL said “This one’s got good size, maybe in the 50 in range.” Then came the retraction. “Either that or it’s foul hooked.” Guess which one was correct?
That’s right! Hooked in the a**!
I’m sure it was 40+ but RNL said “It’s short.” I think it would have made the tape and RNL just didn’t want to know how long it actually was before he had to release it.
:depressed:
Hey Rip’N’Lips, You’re a fisherman, not a saint. It’s OK to be tempted and you came through with flying colors.
(I’m a little skeptical as to what I’d have done in your shoes)
If this guy ever posts an open seat, you’d better grab it up fast or he’ll get stuck with fishin’ with me all of the time.
Thanks a ton Rip’N’Lips. It was a hoot!
