most frightening / funny day
As you will see I'm not a writer or speller here we go A couple of years ago my son and I went around the south jetty at Newport to do some
crabbing.Well things had picked up and I had to keep the nose headed out to keep the
boat under control. We had just pulled a trap and my son handed me a crab to check when
ouch it clamped on to my thumb. :shocked: Reaching over with the other hand to grab it’s claw, It
snaps on to the other thumb.Ok you got the picture, One man locked in a crab thumb cuff.
While all of this was going on the boat had turns side ways and small waves were hitting
the side rocking us back and forth,when it happened, A much larger wave hit and as I was
all but headed over the side the boat slid back and I got my footing.I looked at my son
with fear in his eyes ,knowing how close we just had come when agean slap up along side
the boat and this time I was going swimming. There I am crab cuffed, pdf pulling my
shurt up, pants headed south and me half way over the side.Being the helpfull kid he is,my
son reached up to grab my pants to pull me in when wooo hooo one of his fingers found
my plummers smile. :shocked: Now thanks to my son I’m here to tell you if you want to loose the
sensation of jummping then that’s the way to do it.My son and I learned a few thing that
day and I guess the most inportan is to wear a belt....
