Default Electric trolling motors on jet boats

I have a 21' custom weld jet boat and have seen electric trolling motors on boats my size before. I was wondering if anyone has one on theirs and what kind, how many pounds thrust, and how long the batteries last? Any information would be appreciated.

If I did a lot of boondoggin, I would get one of the 100# thrust units. They use 3 batteries.

The boat makers should be able to answer your questions for you.

I know Stevens marine in Tigard sells their share of Minn Kotas. They should be very helpful.

Mark and the gasoline only for now dog.

I could not do without my Minn-Kota Auto Pilot/ Co Pilot. 65 lbs thrust, 24 volt system. I can't wait till they make a 100 lb thrust with the Co-Pilot system. It is nice silently trolling around when it is cold, with my hands in my pockets and still doing the driving.

I have a Minn Kota Vantage 101. 36 volts (3 batteries). I only wish they made the salt water version (Riptide) model in 36 volts. The Vantage is a lousy design, but that is another story.

And Fear No Fish's motor is a wuse.

Thumper,
It is easier to pull a boat then to push a boat. Lets drag!If I remember correctly, didn't your poor little motor burn up?
