Default Ifish Kwikfish

I have GOT to settle on five Kwikfish custom colors that we have talked about, so that we can do a poll and vote for a week, and then order.

I need some help! We have so many! How do I get them down to five?

Any suggestions?

Jen

What does a native Kwikfish look like in the wild?

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I already gave my opinion in the original thread, but I'm sure whatever color it is will catch fish.

Chrome with fuzzy red spots and a chartreuse butt ... ok, secret revealed.

Bill and I are going to design one of them. It's going to be chrome and chartreuse, but we don't know about spots, or ribs, or glitter. We'll post it soon.

Now, the other four, we have to decide... I guess we'll just pick what we think you like best, cuz I don't know how else to decide.

We need FIVE final contenders, and then we vote!

Whooo hooo!

Jenny, is there a way that you can rank the color schemes by fish catching ability or popularity? Maybe give Fisherman's a call to see what they sell the most of.

Jenni I don't care on colors just as long as it catches fish.
If you get 5 different colors Iwant 1 of each.
Thanks Jenni.

Ok, although my original pick was Chrome with a Chartreuse Butt with a 1/4" belly stripe up to the head, I have another suggestion.

A color combination that has worked well for me in the smaller rivers is the "Blue Pirate" color scheme. Chrome with blue butt and ribs.

What size are they? My wish list would vary depending on whether using K12-K13s for steelies or K15s etc for kings.

Ok because I think we should steer towards at least one that would be an original color scheme, unlike any kwiki that you can find just anywhere, I'd personally say either a metallic orange sherbert or a purple and blue like the BW-29 (Dan-o help me out here). I do think that patterns make a little difference, but just general colors are more important. I think a lot of spots and stripes catch fishermen? I have the blue tail with blue tiger stripes on chrome, you can get it at Joes. Sherbert or Purple!

I want two of each color...does the native Kwikfish wobble the same with the adipose fin?

I, too, like Pete's, but I know little about Kwikfish colors other than the shimmering metallic chartreuse 16 hanging from the mouth of the 55 pounder hanging over my head right now. That is definitely a good color.
I do know, too, that different colors and sizes are in order for springers than for falls, I think...

Anyway, it's a great idea.

How about a black with white horizontal stripe called a "Saddam"...

There will be only ONE style ifish Kwikfish per year.

We need five, so that we can do a vote and see which one wins.

I am only getting 144 of them. Or, I was. Now, I don't know. Seems like 144 might be gone the first day?

Think we need more? I do.

At a minimum we will each want two. One to hang on the Christmas tree and one to use. Then maybe a third one as a backup in case you lose the fishing one. Hmmmm, I bet you'll need 2 or 3 gross. Is it too much work to pre-sell? Then you would have a better idea and the money to cover it.

I've done well on ones painted like Pete's up above.

You might want to keep all the stripes etc at a minimum so that the ifish logo will show up better.

Also, I think an origanal color that's not out there would be better, have something unique.....

144 definitely aren't enough.

Here is a generic Kwikfish that you guys can paint up if you want.

Jennie...

Suggest you identify a few people to come up with a color scheme, and then pick one. Between yourself and a few accomplished fishermen/women, you are likely to get a lure that is both functional and unique to Ifish.

An autograph of "Jennie" should be given serious consideration.

144 probably aren't enough unless you limit 1 per person. Maybe you could say that the first 144 people that vote on the color get the first chance at purchasing an official ifish Kfish.

As far as coming up with color patterns. Fisherman's knows what catches the fishermen, but not necessarily the fish. I just did a quick glance and it seems there are 5 local guides under the "guides and charters" section of ifish (if you don't count the seasonal AK posts and the charter boats). Maybe each of them could suggest a color for the ifish masses to chose from. They should know as well as anyone. Then the experienced ifishers could choose the one that's closest to what they think will work.

Just my $.02

I think Pearl White, chartreuse butt, and a dark green ifish logo on the top (back), with chartreuse eyes.

OK. I'll use my visa and up the order. (Yikes! Scary!)

Anyhow, David, I was asking if you would design one of the five, to be voted on.

Bill and I will design one. You can design one, and then we'll pick three other popular choices, like one kinda like the California Watermelon... and who knows what else, right now.

Then, I'll put up a poll and we can vote on those five. Which ever one gets the most votes goes to order.

I'm going to get this done by next week. REALLY I AM.

if it helps, I would gladly pay in advance for mine, so you don't have to front the whole amount yourself.
