OK, so here is the plan.

Go outside and gather a few large maple leaves. Grab a stick about half the size of a fishing rod, too, while you are at it.

Fill up your bathtub.

Put the maple leaves in.

Now, tie some string onto your stick, and at the end, attach a hook, or even a slighty opened paper clip.

See how many leaves you can hook.

I've been doing this all morning. It's FUN!

Well, no fishing happening for me while it's looking like this:
Alsea River

I was thinking of fishing the Clack on the way back from Tacoma Monday but I'm not sure it'll be down enough.

can anyone tell me about where Three Lynx Creek comes into the Clack? I've never fished up that far.

Good...I have three two rods I need to get finished, leaders to tie, and slinkies to make.

Anyone know if the gate to access the back side of the NF Nehalem locked this weekend?
