can you fish raising high fast muddy water productively or is all hope completely lost?

your odds aren't real good but you can. Fish the slow edges right next to the bank. Use something flashy and a larger profile. Plugs work in these conditions. There is a good article in the new sts magazine about this.

I know that you can get fish in high muddy water. In fact, I like it a lot more than low clear water. I figure it doesn't matter if there's only 5 inches of visibiliy because I have to get my corkie that close to get them to bite anyway. One of my best days this year was on a day where the water was less than perfect. Just remember fish are lazy and if the water is rippin they tend to stick close to the bank or up tight to curent breaks. Just my .02 Good luck.
