Another Hearing - Lic. Fee Increase!!

FYI - The ODFW fee bill (House Bill 2260) has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
hearing and possible work session on Thursday, February 5th in Hearing Room

The incredible turnout on Tuesday made the point... anglers and hunters are
willing to pay for programs they support. I will be meeting with the chair
before the meeting and hope to learn good things.

Please forward this notice to anyone you think can attend. I know many of
you will be at the Columbia Compact meeting in Vancouver... keep you
schedule and go to the Compact meeting. But anyone who has the time...
please come by the hearing room. It is always best to have warm bodies in
the audience keeping tabs on their Legislature :smile:

Well, probably like most others, I think I alread burned up my humble employer's goodwill for this week! I think today they will just hear from lobbyists and the director, certainly if anyone missed Tuesday and can make it today - YEAH. It is also quite possible they will vote to recommend passage.

Could be some interesting (maybe bad) news coming today...
Lindsay and the fish and wildlife commission cancelled a meeting about his future and the department so he could go to that hearing.

Also, I'm told, the governor met last night with budgeters and the first orders out of Salem this morning were for all natural resource agency directors to bring their budget people with them to Salem today for a meeting...

We know about that, but I can't promise how much our staff down there will learn right away.

I emailed my representative Mitch Greenlick
yesterday voicing my support and he replied today with a response.

He said that he would most likely support the bill if it gets to the floor.
