Default Mult. channel sturgeon

I want to try sturgeon fishing, but I only have a 14' boat w/ 11hp motor. So I figure the channel is the safest place for me. I dont need to know your exact spots, but what depth are you looking for out there? Any hints would help since Ive never done this before. Thanks

Froggy, as you have seen on many posts, PFD are even more important with all the debris in the water. Also I have seen several small boats about eat it because of too short of anchor rope. Good luck

Look for deep spots on outside corners. 40-60+, There is a great spot called the "barn hole" on the outside of the first corner below the gilbert river boat ramp on the island. Not hard to find and good for a small boat. Water is 60-70 feet depending on the tide. Probably will be other boats there.
