Default Leader Question

I heard there is a diffrence between leader spools and what you get in refill spools. Is there a diffrence or is it all the same stuff. Do they have higher Q.C. on one verses the other?

As far as I'm concerned/know it's the same stuff. I use the reel fill spools for my leader.

I know for certain there's less on a leader spool than on a reel spool. Otherwise, it is the same line.

I just take an empty filler spool to the bulk line desk and have it filled for alot cheaper than if you were to buy it packaged.

When I used to fish alot more and changed my line a couple time a year I took the bottom half of the reel spool that seldom saw daylight and wound (electric drill and a long bolt w/nut) it on an old filler spool and labeled with date, mfg and strength. Kept me in leader for cheap......
