Thanks for the jig help (pics)
Thanks to all for the jig help. Today a buddy and I were fishing our favorite hole, he was using jigs me my standard float/egg. After he hooked 3 on jig with me not even getting a bite I decided to try the jig, 2 casts later I got the little one and not much later I got the bigger one (34 inches). Total for the day 10 hooked on jig, landed 6 all with jigs. Not bad for 1 1/2 hours.

Re: Thanks for the jig help (pics)
What size and type of jigs were you using.I didn,t see any pic,s of your jigs with the fish.I,m thinking of getting back to trying them again. I tried them in the past ,but didn,t use them enough to be to successful with them.maybe they were to heavy a jig head. What is the best weight of jig? I like to make my own lures and had good success with ones i made .

Fishbones -
1/8 oz is probably the most popular size jig for all around fishing. When the water is higher and more turbid, try a 1/4 oz. My personal favorite weight jig is 1/16, and I've heard of people have good success on 1/32, so it's really up to you. I'd say start at 1/8, though. And think pink.

Re: Thanks for the jig help (pics)
sparkleboy nailed it 1/8 pink/white marabou was the ticket although my partner used orange/white chenille and did good too.

Re: Thanks for the jig help (pics)
Well unfortunately thats not true, I went to where I got those yesterday and it looked like a mud puddle and I didn't get squat. but then again I only fished 10 minutes. North Coast, so as to not get slammed lets just say it was within an hour of Longview and it wasn't the Cow.
