Default Buy, Trade, Barter, Swap, Etc.

I've only been around i-fish for a few months but a little project I'm working on got me to thinking????

I purchased a new tackle box from Tackle Logic with the idea that I would finally be able to organize all my gear by species of fish that I'm targeting. The system is going to work great but now that things are getting organized I'm coming across some extra gear and tackle that has great trade potenial.

The idea you ask ?

Has there ever been an i-fish swap meet?Would it be possible for i-fish members to set aside a couple of days a year ( 1 every 6 months )where one could lay their prime trading, bartering, swaping, old, no longer needed fishing gear out on a table and let the horse trading begin.

I for one have a few extra rods, reels, stuff won in raffles, boat accessories etc. that I would take cash for or maybe some bartering. Right now I need a stump removed from a rental property. Stump removal is probably worth two Ambassaduer 5000's and an experienced Lami. The occupation link on our profile has some potenial as well.

There are enough connections with the people on this site to come up with a place to hold it.

Any interest in a swap meet?

yes, a swap meet type of sale would be great.

We had one a year or two ago on the Clack.
Why didn't we have another one this past year? Anybody?

That is an awesome idea, I believe there's been something like that before.

I would just buy, I couldn't part with any of my gear, I'm a tackle junky.

Sound like fun.

The last one was great, bought some stuff I really didn't need, learned a few things about making spinners and even had Mark from First Cast Jigs come by and give a little on-the- water lesson that day. It was a good time and got to meet a bunch of people that day.

I would definetly like to see another one happen.

Great idea, Pearl! Thanks for volunteering to organize this gathering.

Let us know when and where! The sooner the better before we get all caught up in the springer challenge.

Would love to have a repeat of that same event, except for the loud-mouth that talked all thru Marks presentation.

Let's make it happen folks. We all got stuff we need (well, should) to sell and, of course, gotta buy more stuff!
