Re: Customized Avitars
fishfinder,
Here is a link to resize resample your pics
Resize/Resample Here
Open your picture you want but first resize it to a 70 x 70 or smaller to fit correctly into the avatar space, and save to a location to find it in a moment.
Now go to ifish, open the discussion boards so all are on the page and locate the upload picture bar below the lamiglass flashing ad and click on it.
Scroll down and you will see where you need to put in email add, name, etc...and the browse button.
click the browse button and then locate the fill just made with the avatar and click apply or o.k. can't remeber exactly i'm doing this from memory.
once it is loaded and all the red asterik areas are filled with info click on upload. once uploaded copy and paste the NEW URL that ifish has for the newly uploaded file and place into the custom avatar spaceon profile page. when loading into the ifish server besure there are no numbers or any other marks, slashes etc other than a period before jpg
Looks like this>> c/egg.jpg or something to that style depending how you load it.
once uploaded to the profile page make sure you scroll to bottom of page and click the UPDATE button and then it should be there after a post or 2.
hope you can use this.

Re: Customized Avitars
Fishfinder1,
I think I can help. Can you email the picture to me? I'll put it up on ifish and then you can follow Overfishin' Condition's directions and I think you'll have it.
If you email it to me I can resize it or whatever needs to be done so it will work on ifish.

Re: Customized Avitars
Upload your picture to Ifish, or another webspace, if you don't want it to be deleted after some time. Then copy the URL for the picture. Go to your profile, then choose edit/update profile. Enter there and go down to the avatar window. Click on the avitar option, and in that window there is a place to enter the URL of your avatar. Enter the URL and say "Select this Avatar" and, walla!

Re: Customized Avitars
Upload the picture that you want to use..make sure it will fit--my dog is 100x86. 104 lb dog looks like a postage stamp! Anyway...after you get your picture uploaded pull it up, right click on the url and select copy, head to your profile and go to the part that says select avatar image. I think it says something like "custom url" right click in that box and select paste.
Im sure there is better directions somewhere on the site but thats the basics.
Doah!! I knew there would be better help..only thing that avatar help link seems to be missing is the part where you upload the CUSTOM pic that you want to use. You Can upload the pic anywhere on the web--just have to have the correct url but Jenny has made it pretty simple to do right here.
