Happened to be in that area today (I miss my "Homey" river...actually miss being 10 minutes from there more than the river itself).

Water's on the drop (so far...nice and green). Local tackle shop says things are slow...but I would think there would be a few in there if you know where to find them. Sounds like most of the fish will be coming Feb-March next year, based on what I've been reading here.

Hey..you can't catch 'em if you aint out there. There was one trailer (sled) at Riverside launch.

All I know.

There used to be an early winter run of Big Creek strain steelhead that would return now, but that run was cut from the Clackamas basin several years ago for a number of reasons. The Eagle Creek run should be trickling in now, but doesn't peak for a few weeks, if not a month. The native broodstock hatchery run usually peaks a little later, followed by the wild winter fish which is really more of a spring run that mixes with the hatchery summer run. Confused? Me too. I'd start going after Christmas.
Good luck.
