Age check
Just curious of all the different ages on ifish. This is a post everybody can reply to if they want. I'm not sure if this has been done in the past, because I joinde on October. 24

Age is 55...just retired from Fed Gov...have fished for salmon and steelhead for over 30 years...I don't wade chest deep anymore but the thrill is still the same when you feel that tug.

41 Years old with three teenage boys that love to fish as much or more than I do. I should be feelin about 51 by next year. Grew up on the Illinois in southern oregon. Love to fish. One of the few things that can take me away from the madness.

59 , caught my first steelhead on the Alsea in 1955 and have caught over a thousand since then.. Irmie still is about 30 yrs and 2000 ahead of me

Yikes, you younguns make me a bit jealous. I'm 48, oh my! I remember practicing my casting when I was 5 years old. :smile: Been fishing ever since--and looking forward to the next trip, just like I did when I was 10. Get to retire in 4 1/2 years--then I'll fish more then the 60 days a year that I go now.

Just turned 20. Dad took me fishing when I was about 3 of 4 down on the Willamette fishing for whatever the heck fish were mutated. Three eyes, one eye, no eyes, I've caught them. Started fishing for trout on the upper South Santiam a year or two later. Started fishing for steelhead when I was in second grade. Hooked my first in third grade. Landed my first in fourth grade. Life sure is good! :grin:

Amazed to see how many on here in my age range....19, been fishing trout and little fish all my life, fishing for salmon about 3 years, and joined ifish when I was around 16 :grin:

I am 51 years young. Started when I was about 5 years old fishing on the creeks for trout.Steelhead and Sturgeon are my favorites.I need to fish more, because when you are fishing all your troubles seem to go away.

I'm 23 years old. Been fishing for about 20 years. I started with my dad fishin' for trout in Roslyn and Faraday. Just started fishing for Salmon/Steelhead at the beginning of this year, and started hunting when archery-deer season started. I've became addicted to Salmon(boat fishing), Steelhead(bank fishing), Archery and Duck hunting all in the same year... This has been a bad year for my wife(also 23, we've been married 3 years)  :grin: , I think I've developed some kind of uncontrollable spending habit :shocked: , I can't leave Joes without something new. Everytime I go "Oh, I can use 4 more duck decoys". Also, I have a child on the way.

Turned 25 Yesterday and I have been fishing most of that time. First time in a boat I was about 6 mo. old, got my first take down!...............No Fooling, I swear!....... At least I drooled on the reel a little bit from the chest carrier my dad had me in.
