Default Old Pole and reel ?????

Some time ago I was fishing with my Dad and Bro:, we were fishing in the Multhoma chanel when I was bumping off the bottom when Bingo FISH ON!!!! everyone in there boats started whooping land that fish, the fish quite it's pull, I said to my Dad the fish gave up, I reeled in and to my dismay here comes up a pole and reel. I have hade it on the wall for about 15 years now.

Can anyone out there tell me what I have??? it's 6 foot 5inch long made of glass, has brass guides (3) the handle has wraped cane on upper part of handle and the lower is wood. The reel seat is a slider to hold the reel inplace. The reel is a Langley level wind and is excllent shape and work's fine.
What do you all think??? put on the wall for keep sake or sell.

Without seeing it I'd have to guess the rod is something like a 1940's/50's era Shakespeare, perhaps if Montague ever made a glass rod maybe that's what it is?... What color is the rod? I would think the reel is probably a Whitecap model410 (if it has a star drag?) since most Langley reels were smaller, lightweight direct drive reels. An excellent condition Whitecap goes for $30-50. Langley sold their business to Zebco in 1962 so it's at least 40 years old. Collectors will not pay a premium for anything that has been out of the box in most cases, let alone at the bottom of Mult Channel. My opinion is leave it on the wall, it's a great conversation peice. Post a picture if you get a chance - that will help ID the rod.

I have a number of old glass rods. It could be a Strike King or any number of brands, If there is no sign of a label it's more then likely a home built rod. The value is questionable. Most rods that don't have a label are only worth between 100 and 200 hundred dollars.
