Default Snoopy challenge (Madwizard)

Hey Mad-

They had a challenge last weekend and didn't tell us. Even on my home river!! :depressed: Didn't look like too many fish caught. Can we show them how it is done?

I would like to take part in the snoopy rod thing but if its in March wouldnt there be some concern about a long drawn out fight on a small rod with the native fish? Unless this takes place on a river without many natives or something?

Just thought I would voice my concern outloud.

Mastercaster,

Remember that the Sandy has gone to the broodstock fish, so there will be just as many hatchery fish as native fish in the river in March.

Good luck,
Andy

That why I have the concern. That means just as many native fish will be hooked and caught as hatchery. I just dont want to see a bunch of native fish worn out so bad they dont make it to spawn. Its just something Im throwing out there for people to think about.

Very,Very good point .
I am glad you are thinking for me.
I didnt even think about that
O.K., Let me rethink this.
It will have to be after the winter run is gone. But it will be done.

I wasnt trying to stomp out the flame or anything. I could just see that 15# native being fought to death with the little rods. I have no problem with C&R as long as its done with as little harm as possible.

Is there a river that doesnt have a true native run or one that wouldnt likely be damaged but a good hatchery run?
