Default Merc Mechanic help.....

The big engine that could is in need of a little help. Some bad engine noise and pump problems need to be taken care of.
I did a search and only came up with Boat Works in Wilsonville.
Anybody else have a good Merc mechanic that they know of?
It sounds like it needs a complete overhaul.......

I have had work done at the Boat Works in Wilsonville. I really liked the way I was treated. They do good work and were fairly quick amd prices were reasonable.

You have several options but I personally would not use them. Stevens and Harveys.

Don't get me wrong I'm not bad mouthing either. I just perfer not to go there.
Hope you get things worked out.

I've had good luck with Cascade Marine in NE Portland. It's a small place but they did me right. I can't find there card but I believe it's by Stark St. out towards Gresham area.

Tom's Outboard repair shop is a speciallist on outboards and has been around forever. He works on anything 2hp to 225hp jet or prop. He is verry reasonable in his prices too. I have had work done there and will allways go back.
13602 SE McLoughlin 503-6538744 His shop is across form the B-17 Bomber.

I have been using Tom Sperb in milwaukie for the last 20 years and have been very pleased with his work. I feel he is one of the best Merc mech's in the northwest. Real good on pumps also. Does some hot shoe tricks that make them run much better.
It's been over a year since I used him but his number was/is 503-863-8744, It's "Toms outboard repair" and he is located across from the Bomber on Mcloughlin blvd.

Kudos to the work done at Greg's Marine in Garibaldi. He has worked on my Merc kickers. Excellent work, timely and fair price. You should see how clean and origanized the shop area is; a sign of a good mechanic.

Hands Down in my opinion is Channel Marine. Greg will really take care of you. He and his staff will get you back up and runnung in no time. Tell him I sent you and he will get you taken care of quick. I had him rebuild my carbs on the merc 200 and he had in in and out the same day for me.
