Cleaning info. needed

I just bought a used boat and there are a few things that I need to do. One is the pedestals are corroded from salt water. One had completely corroded out so I replaced it. The carpet is white from the salt so I vaccumed it up but still has some there in the impression from the Pedestal holder. Do I soak this in water? How do I get the ugly corrosion off the other bases?

I am replacing some of the snaps and I need to add a couple of things but the motors are sound and run good. The boat had been lucky last year with numerous Salmon/Steelhead from Siletz, Yaquina and Alsea and I hope the luck will hold over.

Would appreciate any help.
