Default The Springers are coming!

I don't know about anyone else, but as soon as the Christmas decorations came down my husband and I both got a serious case of ants in the pants for Spring fishing!! I can't wait!

Have a great day all!

Ya, I can hardly wait as well. Every morning when I go outside to work, I always take a deep breath of air to find out if I can smell one swimming by heading up river. I'll let ya know when it happens..............Bobber Down

I know what you mean! I bought my boat mostly to fish the springer run. Has anyone heard of the forecast for the size of the springer run this year? Doesn't matter if it's an up or down year, I'll be out there fishing for them. Just was curious.

Bobber Down do you ever fish springers out of Warrenton? If so which side of the river? WA. or Or.

rojo,
I don't fish right out of Warrenton, but I hit them pretty heavy up river. Up river I fish both sides (Or & Wash.) just depends on a lot of factors and guessing............Bobber Down

You are right , they are on their way , as soon as the rivers clear , we could see our first fish in a couple weeks , they are expecting a large run for the WR, lots of 5 yr old fish , the CR run is looking very good also, in any case , we are looking at a healthy run for both rivers . the summer fish should be good also.

I am so excited! I can almost taste our first Springer of the year! Yummy!

We were going to try for some of those sneaky winter steelies on the Lewis/N. Fork this weekend, but I think we may just take the weekend off and let the river mellow out a little.

Good luck to all who are going out this weekend!
