Default Sturgeon Report

How did all of you guys/gals do yestersay and today. I am thinking about going tommorow and wondered how it was. I am trying to stay out of the gorge tommorow because of the winds and want to know how it is elsewhere. Thanks for the reports.

Blue Water,

Fish the Kelly Point area below the confluence of the Willamette. Stick to water 55-60 feet deep or so. The muddy water turns the bite right on.

Make sure to watch out for trees coming down the river. Saw some huge ones the other day that just missed two guys fishing with their wives. They were quite oblivious as the New Years cheer was definatley flowing in their boat if you know what I mean.

Use smelt, squid and sand shrimp.

Good luck. I may get out there too, if not tomorrow then on Saturday.

I have a friend that I spoke with last night that has been doing very good around Horsetail falls in the 50-70 foot range.
