Default Sandy report 1/2/03

Well even with this last weeks rains raising the river over 11 ' the Sandy continues to vex me for a winter steelhead. The river dropped today to 10.3 and it had a nice green color. My friend and I ran his sled up from Lewis & Clark to Stark street and fished our behinds off to no avail. It was a nice morning on the river but still no fish. I only saw two other sleds and two driftboats today.

Thanks for the report, SS. It seems that the fishing was quite good this time last year. I wonder if the fish are running late this year? Anyway, we're getting a pretty good drenching right now, so I can only hope that the fish are moving into the system, if they haven't already...

This rain tonight will definitely blow the river out of shape. If you are fishing tomorrow fish in tight to the bank with bigger presetations.

SS,

Spare Link (J) and I smacked the water pretty heavy on Tuesday with the same results. Looks like I am spending the weekend tasking down the Christmas Lights

Jim
I read your prediction.... it was the reassurance I needed to get out and enjoy a beautiful day on the river.
