Default KP Navigation Question

I am trying to branch out and try some new areas for sturgeon to improve my keeper rate this year. I have fished around KP but have always run west after hitting the Columbia. I have found a few promising holes up by Hayden Island on my charts that look like they are well out of the shipping channel but thought I should ask to make sure.

On my charts the shipping channel goes on the north (left side as you go up stream) of Hayden Island. Are you generally ok to anchor just downstream from Hayden island or do the ships head up the south (right side as you go up stream)?

Thanks in advance.

Default Re: KP Navigation Question

Just watch out for Container ships and barges going to the docks and the pilons just below the island....
