Default COLD Steel Brrrr (PICS)

Here is some pics (hopefully) of a recent trip steelheading in BC.
It was a balmy 20 degrees. How cold was it? Well, when I was fighting my big fish, I slipped and went in up to my neck!!!!!!!
Anyways, I hope you enjoy them.
I started steelheading This spring. I have yet to catch my 10th steelhead, but I have caught 3 over 20#.
I must be doing something right!!

Wow, those pictures are awesome. Nice job with the camera. It looks like a surreal place to fish. Congrats, you have a couple nice fish there.

Let me give you a little insight to the fish I caught.
first of all, I consider myself to be EXTREMLY lucky!!!
The steelhead run numbers are 800 - 1000 fish. Considering the sheer size of the river, I AM lucky.
Catching 4 prime steelhead in three days fishing beats the odds in my book.
We lost the tape measure somewhere along the way so we couldn't be 100% accurate. the smallest was around 12# and the biggest was definitely 25# plus!!!
I have been salmon fishing for years and wanted to try my hand at steelhead.
The way I look at it, I may as well quit now. I will most likely fish the rest of my life and not catch a bigger steelhead.
Who am I kidding, IM going to keep on trying!!!!!

The thing you're doing right is fishing were there are good odds of a trophy. That place is on my "to do" list....

Man it looks cold. I drove through that area this summer and it was 100 degrees out.

Good job on those pigs.

Nice big finned summers in the snow.

Narrowing the possibilities.

I love it over there. Were there sheep on the road?

BTW, that first pic, over your right shoulder, on that bench, there's elk tracks

As a matter of fact, there were a few bighorn sheep around. I saw a full curl ram just about got pasted by a semi.......
You mean to tell me the place where I caught these steel head is not a secret spot???? IM kidding of course. It's world reknowned. On my first trip, I saw a rig from Missouri and one from Texas. Feather flickers most of them. I talked to one old boy. He said last year, he fished for 30 days and only landed one steelie. Now THATS hardcore!!!!!!
Didn't see any elk though. I was too busy watching my rod tip!!!! he he

Awesome fish!

However, I don't want to be a downer but the "Monster Zipperlip" River closed for steelhead on November 17th due to low numbers of steelhead.

I think that what you were doing when you copied the picture address into the 'image' section below, you left one too many 'http://'. When you bring up the image icon, it defaults to one already in the address, so if you copy the whole address from your picture upload, you end up with one too many.

***looks like you figured it out on your own***

Sweet pictures by the way!!!!
