free downloads for garmin gps

I have a Garmin E-TREX Ledgend, are there any free internet downloads of topo maps?

Hey I just got a Garmin Etrex Legend too. What a great little GPS. Did you get the rebate offer? I will end up paying $164 bucks for mine. Really great deal for what
it offers compared to many high priced units. Lets hope somebody knows how to
get some free downloads.

I have had mine for over a year so the rebate dosent apply to me. Mine has been great while traveling to and from fires with the forest service. when you have 20 people with 20 bladders on there own schedule you know the outcome.I have used the unit for maping areas but it would be great to have the topo of the diffrent areas.
