Default Siletz or Alsea report?

Anybody been to the middle coast recently? Any word on how the Siletz or Alsea has been fishing? Thinking of going over there this weekend. Thanks for any advice.

I have been fishing both rivers before all this rain put them out of shape. The alsea was starting to see things pick up in the lower river just before this rain, the siletz had some fish enter the river before the last rain and there were a few fish in the upper runs. Should be some fish in both when they drop back into shape.

fished the NF alsea before the monsoon hit yesterday. only hooked one fish and lost it(ouch) making my tally for the year 5 fish landed for 7 on. for as many people as there were around the hatchery(not personally fishing there just looking in the pond) only saw 3 fish on the bank.

I have fished the NF of the Alsea very hard this past week, since I had a week of from work. Did very well. I would really like to know if anyone has fished the Siletz, and how have they been doing?

Decided to put off the Siletz til tomorrow, Holiday...weyerhauser land will be open.

I completely agree with DFF, I have been guilty of it myself, but turned a new leaf years ago after returning to a hole and seeing my own mess.

We all need to pitch in, and as far as pointing fingers..DO IT! if they have no problem with poluting OUR land and waterways, I have no problem letting the rest of the world wide web know who they are.

got to add one more thing. i really dont like to fish the north fork except for when the main stem is high, and this year as well as others past, i have been really dissapointed by what i have seen down there. line strewn across all the banks, empty shrimp containers, hooks, plastic worms, pop cans; geez guys why not pick it up. im not pointing fingers at anyone, just saying, hey put a trash bag in your vest when you go down and fill it up before you leave.
