Default wilson, NFN report!! Great day!

As I posted the other day yesterday was my b-day so I went fishing. Dad got sick at the last minute so it ended up being just me. Started above the guide shop a few miles and landed a nice native on a pink worm thanks to crayfin and his advise (just over 10 I guess) believe it was a buck, but I never know till I open em anyway, but man was I excited!!! Fishing slowed so I drove down to the guide shop to see what was going on down there I SAW JENNIE!! It was my first sighting, as she was getting in a DB (yes jennie I parked right in front of you in the purple chrysler just as you were walking down to the river)I think I read last night that Brshooter was there also but I did'nt talk to anyone cause I'm kinda shy sometimes. I watched the action for a few and decided that I had to visit the North fk. Nehalem.
On the way I stopped at tillamook bait for some shrimp and was off to the barview jetty for a bit of rockfish action. That worked out great I fished for about an hour and brought home 5 nice black rock bass that will make excellent fish n chips tonight!!
Then I made my way to the hatchery. It wasn't that crowded at all (eight other cars when I pulled up). I walked below the dline past all the people and within the first 45 mins hooked a nice hatchery fish about 5-6 lbs drifting just eggs no weight, however it came unhooked right as I began to tail it and blasted off from the shallows drenching me with a few good tail strokes I still think he was laughing at me. I was done at that point the fish had won, and I had engagements later that evening I packed it up and went home.
Over all I had a GREAT day, one native landed and released, rockbass for dinner and the one that got away. Thank you Ifish, Jennie, Crayfin Madwizerd and all others who helped me do all of that in one dayon my own. Without the wealth of knowledge you all share with me none of this would have possible. Thank you

Mike H.

P.S. As stated by others the ice on the way there was down right treacherous,
ALWAYS BE SAFE ON HWY 6!!!!!!!!!!!

Your first sighting, huh?
Don't shoot!

Glad you had a great day. Next time say Hi! I don't even bite! (And neither do the fish I fish for.) :depressed:
