FirstCast Jigs Rule!
At least they rule the East Fork of the Lewis! It seems like everyone is catching fish on the pink or cerise and white, nickel head, with two beads. Deadly!
This morning was typical --- a big, big nasty native buck for me. A dozen or more jumps. Went away wearing one of my favorite jigs in his jaw. A couple of other nice fish, also on FirstCast pink/white beaded jigs. At this rate I'm gonna need to re-order.
Thanks again Mark for a mighty fine jig. Such products don't come along very often!

Re: FirstCast Jigs Rule!
Received my steelhead pack on Saturday. Hope to try them on New Years Day if I can find a river not blown out.

Re: FirstCast Jigs Rule!
My wife has caught a steelhead the last three trips on bobber/jig. We only use First Cast Jigs. They really stick them. Better have a pliers handy to remove the hook, you will have a hard time getting them out by hand. Have not lost a fish with them yet.

Re: FirstCast Jigs Rule!
Nice report Jack!! It's good to hear that someone is catching fish on the East Lewis.
I fished it saturday and got 1 fish on a pink/white jig that I tie but only heard of a couple of other fish being caught.

Re: FirstCast Jigs Rule!
Yup Rick, it has been an early morning thing. Yesterday there were 6 hooked by 9, then nothing that I know of after that. This morning was slower, but the bite was still early.

Re: FirstCast Jigs Rule!
it pays to be the first one in the hole. it makes sense, the fish that have moved in over night have not been worked over and the first lure they see is the one they usually hit.
one thing you can try is if the water has been worked over hard, look at what every body else is using and do something different as in color, lure, scent and where. i have had luck throwing plugs when everybody else is tossing drift gear, that is if the space allows.

Re: FirstCast Jigs Rule!
Way to go Thumper. I am just catching up with my reading for the last couple days. You just gotta love those jigs as they do stay sharp and do stick em good. As for letting the fish take them away from you, they must have wanted that jig more than you. Rags put me into a Chinook a couple days ago and it was with the bobber rod and a plug. Love that Power Pro on it. I am about ready for more of Marks Pink jigs too. Keep them wet and go get em.

Re: FirstCast Jigs Rule!
Wow Jack, That must have been a monster buck. Lots of fun.
I'm going to have to get up there this year and fish the NF Lewis with you.
Thanks for the comments guys. Jigs are a blast to fish with.

Re: FirstCast Jigs Rule!
Actually, it would be considered an "ad" if it weren't so darn true!
First Cast is a sponsor of ifish, but the facts remain.
They are tried, tested, and true!
Ever try one?

Re: FirstCast Jigs Rule!
I am building a little shrine in my garage to several pink/white/beaded FirstCast jigs. They are all veterans, deadly effective, and have very good attitudes as well. Each day we carefully brush their wispy little feathers and shine their chromey little heads. They have first choice of liquor too. If this healthy for me?!?
