Default North Coast Metal (2)

Up at 0400 to drive over the hill to Seaside and the Necanicum. Slippery trip, but no mishaps and arrived at 0630. Picked up some fresh sandshrimp at Buds Campground, and headed back to the river. I was on the creek at first light. Nothing doing for me. I fished for a while and another feller I know showed up and he walked up to the top of the riffle and picked up a nice little buck. Meanwhile back in the tailout....nuttin. I got tired of that so walked on downstream to talk to another feller I know and asked how he was doing...One on the beach...hmmmmm....I must not be holding my face right or something...It was getting near 1030 so I headed up to my favorite drift. 3 cast's FISH ON....FISH OFF....!!! . I beat the water to a froth with no luck...Gave up and started thinking about lunch....As I headed into town I spotted a buddie and caught up with him. Rick I said..Lets go to our zipper river and give it a shot.... Sure he says and away we go.....He was skunked but I caught a nice 12 to 13 lb nate, and lost another. So it was another fine day of fishing for me on the good ole North Coast.....
