Hey John,

It was hairy going down with the fish. It was a good day though. Many people down there Saturday? Hate to say it, but had to say something to ole billy bob who wanted to fish 3 feet away from me when he had 50 feet to fish on the upper end. I will not say anymore pink and red did the trick. Had a dead spell and a few casts with the old pink and white birdy and red and white winged spin-n-glo it was fish on time.

That was him....Did he give you the ole "how long you been fishing on this river question"?

What a Sorry no room for that

He went down below and came back up pretty quick. I am sure the NICE! guys below us did the same. I felt bad messing up there water landing fish, but they did not seem to mind. A couple of really nice guys.

The hen in the middle was spitting eggs big time. I do not remember them doing that this early. The meat is smoking material.

Thats when he got an earful. He was hanging up on us too. After I talked to him he said nothing, but stayed away.

I tell you what that guy had me so angry..... I was ready to throw him in the river. I told him he needed to go fish somewhere else. He was getting to close for comfort. I was very happy when he left.

FA, do you remember asking me about drift fishing w/ Tuffline, I think this case would have been the exception. One too many rubs with that stuff on your reel and he would have to re-spool.

I wonder what those other gentelmen were thinking when we jumped his case?

hmmmm? sounds like the guy had no clue on what he was doing? I doubt?? I would have been so ignorant....I do use hooks, but that could have been me. I am glad you all tried to help him instead of running him off. Do you all remember when you first started?? Think of that next time some "clown" gets in your space. I was not there, but sounds like he could have used some FREINDLY advice on how far to stand from the next guy and where to cast and what nots.

Yup DP I wouldnt agree more on the fact that if this guy would have been polite and wanted help but he was just an a-hole. I cut his line the last time he hung up on my line........He couldnt believe it. I am telling you I was at least 75 feet above him and he still was casting over me.......what a jerk. Like Finder said its over and there are many steelhead to catch.......

No,DP, I think this guy knew exactly what he was doing, from the giggles that he gave to my wife when his line would drag across her waders to the "I've been fishing this river for ten years" comment. I just think he wanted to run us off and failed. But,, that day is over now and there is a WHOLE lot more steelhead to catch!

Yeah it is over. The good thing is we were catching some nice fish. It was to good of a day to let it rent space in my head. I am sure we will see him again. Doubt it! but maybe he will leave it alone.

I would have not minded if he came down and asked me, but he was rude to a female and by the time he came down to me I had had it.

John, Nice! on the line wish I could have seen it. You play you pay! Watch out, he may go get braided to have line fights

Anyway, I do not care because I am still going to pull fish out of that hole no matter where I am at.

I will end with this. We spoke to some good guys down there and there are allot of good people on the river. It is to pbad all of them could not be polite and JUST ASK! I would have stepped out and took a break or just worked with the person.

John, you and I have fished damn near shoulder to shoulder there and hammered fish. Remember the good ole days?
