Re: Lewis river
Last week a buddy from work told me he caught 2 steelhead at the hatchery. And I aslo heard fish are coming in the rivers. Maybe you should try the washougal. I made a pass down the river in my boat on Thanksgiving. We caught one fish and saw 7 more.

Fishfearme,
You can't sneak in on your first post without an introductory fishing story. It's the custom of Ifish. It's not mandatory, but fun.
Usually, without a story, then it's hard to get a response from the clan.
Welcome to Ifish.

Re: Lewis river
Alright SKP heres you a story. I was fishing for fall chinook on the Washougal. Me and my dad were fishing this one hole and our body was further up river. By nine o clock in the morning me and my dad had both limited out with two fish each. We decided to see how our body was doing. He hadn't caught any fish. We helpt him out a bit by changing his rig to what we had. Within an hour he had his limit. And that day has been our only day that we all limited out together on the same day. Lot of fun and I will not ever forget that day.

Re: Lewis river
King Fisher 85,
10cu.ft./sec! that's pretty good.
Perhaps that will flush out some of those snaggers at the hatchery? I just don't get those guys. It's mighty difficult to entice a steelhead to bite when they (snaggers) are ripping hooks past them 24/7.
They (enforcement) should let me bust 'em. Tee Hee Hee!
PM me about your weekend Mike.

Re: Lewis river
10,000cfs good? na...hate backbouncing 12-14oz of lead…5500cfs is good!
10k flush out the snaggers? na...just groups them up together even more. There are still 150+ odd anglers down at the hatchery.
