Default East Fork Lewis

Fish are being caught! Landed a 9lb. native hen and a 8lb. hatchery buck! Both winter run fish! Had sea lice and everything! Floated from daybreak to LaCenter. Saw lots (8 or 9) fish caught and heard of others. Good luck all!

Is the water too low to run the golf course area in a sled?

Talons, I think yor misread the message. The Golf Course is on the North Fork not the East fork of the Lewis.
Please do not put your boat in the East fork, It may cost you a bundle as no sleds allowed up that high.
Good Luck

That figures! I've fished the EF 5 times in the past 2 weeks and have yet to see one fish even hooked. I had my alarm set for 5am this morning. But the past weeks trips made turning my alarm off way to easy. Thanks for the report. Maybe things are starting!

Talons --- To answer your question, the North Fork has been running at 3,000 CFS. The golf course is very fishable at that level and the put-in there is fine if you have 4-WD. Rarely will you need it in the winter tho.

Sorry, didn't mean to start a stampede. I did see lots of bank anglers who didn't do well but considering that steelhead fishing has been slow in our neck of the woods, it was nice to see winter runs being caught. If it was hot, I would be reporting more than two being caught. I didn't see or hear from anyone who landed more than two per boat but some were caught. Sorry for the not-so-clear report. Next time I'l be exact in the fishing report. Later.

Whoaa.....steelyman.... before the entire state heads up to the East Fork. There are fish in the river, but it is by no means hot. I fished from daylight to 3:00 pm and only hit one fish. I asked four boats that went by. Three boats had one fish in the boat ( including you ) None of the bank anglers where I was at had any fish except for my one fish. This is definitely abnormally slow for this time of year
I have fished this river alot lately and it is slow. There are fish but you definitely have to put in some time.
I appreciate your effort to put in a report, but just wanted to put my two cents in for accuracy, and I am sure the bank anglers that got skunked would like to say the same.
