Default STEELHEAD IN THE NEHALEM?

DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF STEELHEAD MAKE THERE WAY INTO THE NEHALEM RIVER UP IN VERNONIA? I HAVE FAMILY THAT LIVES RIGHT ON THE RIVER THERE BUT THERE NOT SURE IF THERE ARE STEELHEAD IN THIS PART OF THE NEHALEM RIVER BEING IT IS SO HIGH UP.

ANY INFO WOULD BE BE GREAT!!!!

the caps make it look like you are yelling. Lower case only, unless you are have a baby or something important.

Yes, the steelies make it up there. But it will be later in the spring before they arrive. The fish that make it up there are natives. Nates must be released. Please handle with care.

Yep, they do get up there and they are not all natives. I have been there to officiate a High School Basketball game and caught fish there, in town, before the game. That was in January. Anyime you can go is a good time to fish but most of the nates do come in later on during the winter season
