WTB-top half of 12' ugly stik sturgeon rod
I "lost" the top half of my 12' ugly stik last summer due to it not being on tight enough during a long cast, and was hoping i might find someone willing to sell me one. I contacted shakespeare and they will replace it, but its gonna be rediculous shipping for that. Thanks

Bite the bullet and pay the price. I did the same thing about 6 years ago. Someone could make a small fortune if they could find all of em that have been lost on an errant cast. I've heard of four or five, besides mine.

I guess I might have to, just seeing if someone happened to have one to avoid all of that trouble.

Maybe it's a sign from the fish god, time to upgrade to a lighter rod. The Ugly Stiks are heavy.

haha well I have 2 lamiglas 5f rods, both fiberglass single piece rods, one is 13'8 and the other is 15'. Those are pretty light rods, they have a nice sensitive tip, unlike the ugly stik. But i do like the ugly stik for salmon plunking, I can throw alot heavier weights with that, sometimes double spikes. i dont like throwing that much with my lamiglas rods, they are my pride and joy!
