Nestucca water heighth

I was wandering if someone could tell me what the ideal water heighth is on the Nestucca for drifting in a boat? Farmer's to Cloverdale and 5 1/2 to the 4th bridge. And the best place on the web to check water levels. Thank you in advance.

Pat Welch keeps a site that is good. Use your search engine and just type in Pat Welch then follow its lead. The site is mainly for kayaking but gives up to date water height.
Also call the Nestucca Valley Sportings Good store in Hebo...they'll help you out.
I drifted from Three Rivers to Cloverdale before the rains, only a few tight spots...and lots of fish. From now on the only worry should be if the river gets blown out.

We have had very good luck calling the sporting goods store, it’s worth the 10 cents to call them in the morning, before you go.

Check the sites on this board. I like it at 4.5-5.5. It needs to be closer to 5 feet for the upper drift.
