My bud landed a chrome native @ about 9 pounds. I got a funk on me right now. Don't want to say how many fish I hooked, but I lost them all!!! I'm a loser!!!
Stoped @ a turnout to look down @ a part of the river with no trail down. I saw two steelies & they were working on a redd. We could see the chrome flashing a 100 yards down the cliff.
Really nice fish.
Was pretty cool to see them do there thing.
River had @ least 3ft. of visabilty. Everyone I saw had no fish.

Good report and good job on the fish.

I'm fishing the Kalama for the first time on the first day of the new year.

I fished the Kalama the last two days. Nailed two hatchery 7 lber's on Sunday and hooked and lost one yesterday. Saw 4 others hooked including a 14 lb. native hen my buddy got as his first steelhead

one alnded and two lost. yesterday saw a guy hook two back-to-back on a spoon and another really small hatchery fish landed. Thinking about heading out right now...
