Default Kilchis Steelie

Ok, I've been visiting here off and on for a week now and all I've been reading is about stellhead, and now I'm bit! I'm hitting the Kilchis tomorrow in the am. I haven't fished for steelhead in a couple of years so i'm pretty excited about going. A freind of mine said, be sure and try a Steelie lure. My question is do I tie my line directly to the lure, or should I put a Duo-Lok or something similar on first. Any advice? Thank's

attach it with a snap.

But better yet try drift fishing.

Also, don't just stick to the Kilchis if nothing is happening. Go over to the Wilson or stop by the hatchery on the NF Nehalem. The Kilchis might be a little clear.

Thanks David, I figured I'd head to the Wilson in the pm too. I live on the tidewater of the wilson, and looked good today (Sun) I will give it a try. Thanks
