Default Columbia River Winter Hogs!

Tight little rumor about some winter Chinook off Woodland Bar. Saw a 52#. Talk about a beauty!

don't be so uptight Mark ...i like hearing stories of people catching fish. besides the columbia is only open til dec. 25. i doubt 6,000 people will target this small run in 17 days .

maybe you should fish the tualatin if you want to avoid the crowds :grin: .

This morning's it's 39f, with showers blowing down the river. Anyone out there today has earned their fish.

No wait at the boat ramp either :grin: .

Anyone know anything of the biology of these winter chinook, like what system they're headed to?

I went and had a look at the Bonneville counts, and it looks like a few continue to trickle over the dam. At this point, you start to wonder, are they late fall fish, or early spring fish?
