Default Who's fishing Christmas AM???

This topic will probably showcase any other poor lost souls who have nothing better to do than fish on Christmas. Truth be known I can't take the long trip out of town to see relatives so I'm up and at em' to go rustle up a chromer to put under my tree. I have one or two open seats to drift the Clack that day, may be out all day or just half. Split the shuttle, bring your favorite rod but leave the plugging rods home, I have three set up and ready to go. First E-mail gets it, but I can't get back at ya' til tomorrow AM.

Mikey, I'd love to go, BUT, alas, I'll be fishing for presents and making the family happy so I can in turn get out another day. But, consider this, If I go out Christmas AM, I'll probably be free to fish a lot more unless it's my visitation days. I'll pass this time.

We do all the X-Mas hulla-bulloo on the 24th evening. So we usually just sleep in X-Mas AM, but I may get up and go launch the sled and fish the Clack for a few hours, we'll see!!

The wife and I are fishing Christmas morning. Last year, we both caught limits by 8:30 in the morning down on the N.F. Nehalem. Not counting on that this year. Been pretty slow down there so far. Actually, it sounds slow everywhere.

I am going to the NF Nehalem on Christmas.

Hope it is better than yesterday. However I did see 4 fish caught before noon.

Merry Christmas

PapaHog,
The wife and I were at the N.F. Nehalem yesterday. My wife fishes from the disabled platform. She caught one of the fish you saw. If you see a lady fishing from the disabled platform, come by and say Hi. Chances are it is us. I am always there helping her out. She caught another one today. A nice 10# buck. It was slow. Three fish caught at the disabled platform and didn't see anything come up from below the deadline. We fished until 1:15 today.

May go out for awhile from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, after the gift thing and before Christmas dinner. Merry Christmas, everyone.

I'll be fishing.

Don't know where. But Christmas day will see me on the river.

Glad to see I'm not the only one!!! Looks like member "Longhunter" will be riding shotgun in Mad Mikeys' aluminum beast on Wed. I really hate to have to skunk all you guys  but we gotta do it!!!
Fishing or hunting on Christmas day is not all that unusual for me anyways. No kids or other obligations make it easier for sure. Growing up in LaGrande it was traditional to sneak out pre-dawn and be back with a brace of Mallards before mama had the cinnamon rolls in the oven. Good memories, however I prefer fish over quackers these days.

Hey Jetsled1,
Class of 86' for me, my brother was class of 82' or 83', Steve Cowdrey. My Uncle, Clyde White owned and ranched a bunch of land at the top of 12th street on Glass Hill. We used to do our bird hunting out at Ellen Muillenburgs' place where the creek from Hot Lake went through, man was that fun. Everything in the valley frozen up, 2000 ducks just sitting there waiting for us to show up and nobody else hunting.
I bet you had old Mr. Gregory, Norm Masterson and the venerable Betty Ragsdale for teachers too huh?
Drop me an E-mail sometime so we don't bore the rest of the BB with aymore of my off-topic chatter
