Default Hip Boot Care

Brrrrr! Nothing like a boot full of river to wake a guy up . I only wear them a couple times each year , but when you need them.....Does it pay to spend a little more and/or are there things I can do to keep them better ? thx, swampy

I just buy the cheap one's that come on sale at Bi-Mart and fishermans marine for less than $20. That way when they get wet inside or start to crack on the outside I don't feel bad about throwing them away. I don't think it pays to get the fancy thermo lining because hip boots are COLD period. The only thing I've found to keep my feet warm waring any type of hip boot is fleece socks. hope that helps// Ryan

Here is my two cents. Keep the boots out of the sunlight and heat, and when you are done using them don't fold them over for storage. When you fold and wrinkle them that is where the cracks come from. I just put nails in my garage wall for the toe and heel of the boot so they can rest the full length with no other bother, they drain and store there. No need to pay for new boots every couple of years. Tight lines, Kim.
