Default Thnaks Ifish for digital camera info

Well, well, well. You guys just broke $400.00 out of my pocket book.

I want to thank every one who has put input to digital camera info as of late.

I just bought a Minolta Dimage F 100. Hope fully I can start posting some fishing pictures come next week when I'm going to put a stomp on some ol' stomping grounds in the Tillamook area. And no not 3 rivers. I see 3 river crowds up here.

Although I guess if I want a good laugh I will stop in, pour a cup of coffee and watch the circus below the hatchery. Heck you don't even have to pay!

Thanks again all you digital camera owners for helping me solidify a decision.

See you soon

When in doubt, set the hook!

Shannon

Hi Shannon,
I don't ever remember reading on the minolta. What are the features you get with it? Did you get a Battery charger with it? Bigger film card? Compact flash, Smart reader or proprietorary card?

Dude you have me lost. Can't we talk about first riffle on the clack or shoot the breeze over some tackle

Just the camera, battery and a 16 sd memory card. Its a 4.0 Megapixels, 3x zoom. I reckon that is standard. Supposedly it is the first digital that has Subject Tracking AF and Area AF, which allows for a focus in any type of conceivable condition.

It is so cool refining the picture as you look at the LCD.

Innovation is something else. I have a CD that came with it to show us how to download and refine the pictures. So as soon as we get this sucker figured out I'll see how good it posts.

From the buzz here in Anchorage it's the cats meow!

Take care,

Shannon

I have been reading up on the Nikon coolpix 2500 and the Olympus 520. Been leaning on the latter at this time. Seen them at costco for $229.00. Still need to get recargeble batteries and 128 Smart media card as well.

Oh yah, First riffle had 2 steelies. Swung and missed there too. (jk) Will be looking for some pics soon of big fish.

I'm stoked, as I too just got into the digital camera age (well, almost, I should say my wife did because technically I am buying the camera for her for christmas).

I took it out and charged the battery last night and did some reading so that on christmas I will be able to show her how to use it.... Ya right, going to be a little learning curve with this baby! I am sure it will be great once mastered, pretty much top-o-the line, will even shoot a 75 second movie (hmmmm, 75 seconds, that sounds about right... :depressed: )

Looking forward to being able to post some outdoor adventure pics in the new year!
