Default Thursday Night

Merry Christmas Steelheaders!

If you didn't know that the Wilson river is 6.7 feet and dropping fast, you
probably should! Thats because its gonna be chock full of bright hatchery
steelies and oughta fish really well over the christmas holiday.

In fact you'll probably find me on the river this Friday and then again on
Sunday for the fishalong. We could still use a couple of more boats to get
everyone on the river. Then I'll be staying in pacific city over christmas
week, so you'll likely find me on the Nestucca christmas morning!

To find out the best way to catch these christmas steelies be sure to
remember to come this Thursday night to steelheaders. we'll be putting on a
number of clinics on steelhead drift fishing, bobber fishing, jig fishing,
plug fishing, sturgeon and salmon techniques, and more. We'll also be
handing out boat assignments for the fishalong.

Date: Thursday December 19, 2002
Time: the board meeting is from 6:30-7pm
Time: the general meeting starts at 7:30.
Raffle: As always there will be lots of great prizes, remember to
bring your newsletter for a free ticket.
Location: American Legion Hall 285 W Main Street, Hillsboro.

See you thursday-

This just in. No fish in the Wilson. Stay home and do chores. Plus, I will be on the Wilson Friday so that will not be a good day to fish. I have no idea how to cast and drift fish with 8oz of lead. Not sure how to affix the banana peel securely to the hook either.

However I have been taking fishing lessons from BOE and I think I might just be able to entice a fish into a gill net.

So please stay off the Wilson on Friday.
