Default crabbing this weekend

thinking of going crabbing this weekend out of chinook,and was wondering if it would be any good with com.guys out there.the last time we went out on dec. 1st and got 60 for two days.

As of this morning the commercial guys were not yet out except for a few doing "sport crabbing" with 20-30 pots. They could settle at any time as the weather improves. You will have trouble finding a place to put your pots after they go out.

I am planning to crab out of Hammon but I just remembered the ramp is under rapair. Is it still closed? :whazzup: May have to go out of Warrenton. :smile:

thanks for the info roadsend.i hope they stay out of the water for at least til mon.i see safeway has crab for 2.99lb and they are very big and fat ones.i hope to get out there one more time before xmas.

The Hammond ramp is still closed, I was told this past weekend that it would be open some time in Jan. 03

hey up-4-air the chinook lanuch is a shorter run and faster than the warrenton lanuch.also i have done real good just outside of chinook to the right.
