Default electronics storage???

I am currently looking into the best method for storing my electronics when not in use. I am storing a small garmin ff, fixed mount vhf, and handheld gps.

I would like a plastic suitcase style of container with the foam egg crate. I have seen some of these, but there were $100+. I have also seen some handgun cases that might work that are a little more reasonable. One last option was military surplus containers.

Am I missing an option? What do you'll store your goodies in?

Joe

I like to bring mine into the house and keep them on a table without a box or bag so they'll dry out from any moisture they may have picked up while out fishing.

Pete,

That is a good point. I suppose the disadvantage of a waterproof case is they do not breath.

Here is one I am looking at...

I put both my depth finders, binoculars electronic scales boat keys and a few other things in a small duffle bag with a few compartments and leave open to the air on top of the gun safe, then everything is in one bag, and it makes loading the boat really simple  . somtimes I even forget to mount the depth finders untill I have launched the boat and am underway . But since doing the bag thing I have not forgotten anything.

I wrap each unit in utility towel and place in plastic crate in the closet.

Keep all mine in a large canvas bag. Put them in a closet for the winter.

You might pick up a small suit case at Goodwill and cut foam to fit your equipment.
