the top half of the tree is fishing ornaments. The bottom half is anything and everything the kids (3 1/2 and 2) can get to hang on it. Including my socks.

Smily, not sure where my wife has gotten them. I would bet at least some of them are form Hallmark.

I have one! It's a great one, too! I "stole" it from Miss B's wife, aka The Captain, aka Tuni, aka Toni (but no one really calls her that)

AKA, one heck of a nice gal that Mel doesn't really deserve!

(I'm kidding, of course! Mel's a heck of a guy - but don't tell him I said that, k? )

Hey - First you steal that ornament, then you steal my 50" sturgeon I was saving for the next trip! Man- you're really cruel Jen!

PS - I really don't deserve her!

Oh yes and always looking for more. Christmas specialty shops are full of them. Got a few that were to heavy to hang on the tree. Just put them around the tree. Got some real nice fishing santas 10 to 12 inches high. The adult kids just smile and shake there heads when they come over.

We string corkies, spin glos, cheaters and anything else I find on the river (well as long as its not dead). Then we have got every kind of plug imaginable all over the tree. It is definetly different, but it looks great.

My family has made this a tradition for the last 10 plus years.

Default Fishing Ornaments on Christmas Tree

How many of you have fishing ornaments hanging on your Christmas Tree?

Ours has various fish and fishing santas. and a fine collection of European bobbers that a friend gave us.

Fishing ornaments and Firefighter Santas take up the majority of our tree space

Would it be Christmas without a fishing ornament on the tree? We got a few.

I have made some in the past for fellow fisher folk. I went down to one of the local craft stores and bought some medium sized clear glass balls. I then suspended a colorful fly or a jig with some fine line so that it hangs in the center of the ball. One of Mark's purple and pink jigs was my favorite. It really looked good.

I've got bunches ... little wicker creels, blown glass trouts, ceramic salmon with a santa face. But one of my favorites is this one of Santa with his friend William (Bill, for short).
