Default McNary Hurricane 12/15 - 12/16

Turtle and I were the only stupid people on
the water tonight. It blew and rained all
night but it was worth it. We ended up
going 4 for 5 on the Steelies. These fish
were some of the hardest fighters of the
year. Nothing real big but man were they
overachievers. I even handed a rod off to
Turtle just for a second, so he could feel
how strong one of the fish was. It just
would not come up.
I came home to find my freezer had lost
power. Thank god for a backup freezer and a
wife who would come out at 3:00 am in the
morning, in a rainstorm, in her pjs, to
help me move fish!

FNF, You are truly blessed with a wonderful wife and a reputation as a great fisherman. We all enjoy the stories and photo's and I look forward to seeing you at the Wind next spring.

Fishhog1,
How have you been?I hope all is well.

We have been after the Steelies since Sept. It is coming to the end though. We put our 155th fish in the boat last night!

Have you seen a forecast for the Spring Chinook run yet? I see on the WDWF webpage that they have the forecast for the Fall run of Chinook and Coho. But I have not seen anything on the Spring run.

I am headed down to Carson right now to see a buddy. Too darn Windy to go out on the water tonight! It is only blowing 40 mph!

Shake it easy!

Steve

you know, i drove from walla walla down to hermiston and back at about 11:00 at night on the 15th and the wind wat screaming the whole way. as i drove by the dam i wondered if anyone was crazy enough to be out on the water......sure enough! thats either commitment or a need to be committed!

driving back into the walla walla valley was quite a light show, either from downed wires or popping transformers.

im glad you at least caught fish FNF!

Fear no Fish, All is well here in stump town and I have a spring Chinook forecast, WDFW and ODFW are predicting 145,400 spring Chinook for 2003. As you know that is about half the return we had last year but it is just a prediction. The forcasts for the Wind, White Salmon and Klickitat will be done by WDFW in early January. Tight lines to ya!
