just there. Milky green/ brown. still fishable. We had no luck but fished very little. Mainly putting the sled and running the river.

Re: Clackamas water conditions
Just got back from the clack, went 0-3. Lost a really nice native winter of about 15 pounds. The river looked really good, I wish it was up a little more though, to push more fish up where I like to fish.

Re: Clackamas water conditions
0-1 very nice conditions, just not enough fish yet(that's my story and I'm sticking to it).

Re: Clackamas water conditions
3 for 5 in the Clack this evening. Not bad for 3 hours work. Had some debris going down past us. The styrofoam hatch was in full effect. People are slobs.

Re: Clackamas water conditions
Was anyone fishing from the bank? Where is a good place to take my 9 yr old son on Sunday (no waders and he's begging to go)
Thanks.

Re: Clackamas water conditions
Skookummark,
Take your 9-year-old down to cross park. If the water is high go to the Oregon City side. That tail out will be a go to spot. It always left with smiles when the water was high. That is if there are strong #ers of fish, which sounds like the river is lacking for the moment.
Catch 22 lets see that photo proof. It is always nice to show others what were missin.'

Re: Clackamas water conditions
Sorry Shannon. I did just buy a new digital camera. However, I didn't snap any photos today. It was pouring and by the time we got out of the boat, it was dark.
1st fish looked bright, but came off at the boat.
2nd fish was boated but was pretty dark and was released.
3rd fish looked dark also but came unbuttoned in the same fashion as fish #1.
4th fish was pretty bright boated and released unharmed (except for its' pride) due to number of fins.
5th fish was a nice bright hen that we happily kept and cut into steaks within 2 hours.
All these fish were summers. There are some fresh ones still moving in. However, I would really like a nice Clack winter. Next week or so, I'll start concentrating farther downriver in a quest for winters.

Re: Clackamas water conditions
I put in this AM at Riverside Park about 10AM.
Mainly wanted to see if the modifications I've done to the pump helped. River is a beautiful Steelie Green color and great flow. I ran all the way up to Barton to see how the boat ran, and do a little fishing. Boat is coming up on plane quicker, but need a little more tweaking in my opinion. Did not see any big changes in the river from last Winter Season, but sure was nice to get my,new to me boat, on the Clack for the first time. Only fished one hole, with no luck, and decided to get off before the big winds hit!!

Re: Clackamas water conditions
We ended up going to McIver this morning for a few hours. River looked good and we enjoyed the sunshine but didn't hook any fish. Did see a bright one caught below us before calling it a day.

How low did you go? What was the bait of choice today? Any info would be apreciated.
Good luck,
