Default Cowlitz - Blue Creek

Any steelhead reports for this area? Is there enough water to run a sled down from blue creek to boondogg the lower strech? I am thinking about making the trip, however it is a 2 hour drive to find out a first hand report... Any body have a report?
Thanks

From what I have heard, there are a few Winters in and still a few late bright Silvers as well. The river is @ 2900 cfs right now out of Mayfield. That is enough water for jets, but caution would be advised going down into the Blue Creek hole. This is the same flow when we fished it in July, doing some glo-balling!!

They will be raising the river level up to 5000 cfs out of Mayfield for the weekend. It will make jet-boating much easier. It fishes real well @ 5000 cfs, as far as fishable water conditions, I am not sure. Try calling the Barrier Dam store for current river conditions. Good Luck!!
